The Davisons were a prominent and influential family in the early establishment of the City. It is the only home on the block that is in its original location. This home is on the National Register of Historic Places. There are many homes with historical markers in Galveston county, but this is the only home listed by the Texas Historical commission as an "Antiquity". Occupied continuously by three generations of the same family for over 75 years, the structure is a fine example of late Victorian architecture as revealed in homes of the upper middle-class.
